What is Invisalign?
Invisalign uses a series of invisible, removable aligners, so no one can tell that you’re wearing them. Invisalign is made with 3-D computer imaging technology and is very effective for many patients.
Why do patients like Invisalign?
The aligners used with Invisalign are invisible. In addition, they are removable, so patients can eat and drink whatever they want during the treatment. This also makes brushing and flossing easier. The aligners are comfortable, without metal to cause mouth abrasions during treatment. Invisalign allows patients to view their own virtual treatment plan at the beginning of treatment, and during the entire treatment, so they can follow the progress of the treatment.
How does it work?
Each set of aligners is worn for about 2 weeks. As the aligners are replaced, your teeth will move little by little, until they have straightened to their final prescribed position. Dr. Kwong will see you every 8 weeks, to monitor the progress and make sure that your treatment is proceeding as planned. The total treatment time varies from 9-15 months.
